Host Marae for Te Hui Ahurei o Tuhoe is the oldest iwi festival in Aotearoa which his honour is shared by all Marae in Ruatoki with more accommodation shared with Marae in Waimana. An event held for the people of Ngai Tuhoe every two years, thousands of iwi members meet at Te Rewarewa Marae and te kura o Ruatoki for three days of celebrations
                                                             A hapu of over 3900 whanau or family members.
